This track is ridiculous. It pulls on every 90s warehouse heartstring I still have left. Please send my mom a postcard. She's one of your oldest fans, you sent her a CD in the early 2000s, and she still plays it. I'm trying to get her to subscribe, but... She's 69 y/o. .... Michelle Ulibarri
Thanks! I will send a card pronto. I've got the address now -- so not sure if you want to remove your comment so it's not out there in the public … or maybe you don't mind?
First time reader and so glad I stumbled upon this. Thank you! I love where your head is in this and have actually been building some frameworks for brands to exist in this kind of space. So, know you’re not alone in trying to figure this one out. Also, I’ve been sending random postcards to people in my circle for 25+ years. I used to send to the ladies at my bank when I’d travel in case I was close to bouncing checks...they’d hold for me til I got back! Ain’t no shame in my game!! Ha, but I know the surprise and joy a thoughtful exercise like postcards can provide, so thanks for continuing to send them! My address is 117 Brookline Ct Franklin, TN 37069 if you’re feeling froggy and want to jump. Until then, be well and keep making something good! Wayne
Thanks, Wayne! These are great comments. Yes, there's a lot to figure out moving forward and I'm excited to see what we'll all come up with, especially once these tools can serve as more than an imitation of normality. And check your mailbox for a vintage Florida postcard when you least expect it … 📬
I love this part of the quote you posted and use it all the time now as we move forward trying to rebuild the world from the flaming dumpster fire of the old one: "...taking what we know and understand and applying it toward the future that we want..." The future I've wanted for some time is one where an old guy me complete with all of his hearing loss can still enjoy live music without having to go out. Fortunately, I live near a small college town with few venues and a serious aversion to DJs so many of my friends have been on FB live for quite sometime so perhaps I'm ahead of the curve. About a year ago, I made a joke about a asteroid hitting the planet that would confine us to quarters and we'd all be streaming in one form another and that I'd be able to enjoy top notch talent in the privacy of my home without them having to travel and me not having to deal with crowds. Replace asteroid with Covid-19 and I seem like Nostradamus. Once we move past the beta tests of how to do this, I'd gladly pay money in a subscription fee for something I am enjoying now for free, which is incredible amounts of great music being played by marquee DJs every single day. I see this becoming a paradigm shift, at least in terms of bringing the older set, those in remote locales, or the infirmed to the club by bringing the club to them.
Absolutely! Livestreaming is here to stay. I need the movement to 1) not become reliant on some big corporate platform that controls access to fans (Instagram, FB, YouTube, etc); and 2) that, for the adventurous, it becomes something other than an imitation of an in-person concert performance. The possibilities really are endless and it can be exciting.

Don't care, neither does she. Proof that you've got oldfolk fans!
